I have hunted with Chikaskia Outfitters twice and both experiences have been top notch. Dave goes above and beyond the job of outfitting and has become a great friend. In 2003 I shot a 142" 9 point on my fifth day of hunting. In 2005 I went out there determined to shoot a monster. I came home without filling my tag and can honestly say I have no regrets. I saw well over 50 bucks while I was there and had 5 different bucks between 120 and 145 inches within bow range that I could have shot. I also had 4 very close calls with 3 bucks that would score between 160 and 180. I had a 160+ 11 point chasing does around my stand that I drew on twice but couldn't get to stop. I also had a 170+ 10 point (dream buck) come in to 30 yards that I couldn't get a shot at. I am still in shock at the number of quality deer Dave has on his properties. Usually you get one or the other QUALITY or QUANTITY, through management Dave has both. South Central Kansas is an amazing place that all serious deer hunters should experience at least once.
